Raised in Northern Indiana, Dan Kittell, CPA, started with McAllister Kittell Reed in November of 1992 as a staff accountant doing general accounting, tax preparation and monthly payroll taxes. Before working here, Dan spent a few years as an accountant for a small firm in Chicago. After three years at MKR, Dan was promoted to manager, and on January 1, 2001, he was promoted to partner. As of January 2021, Dan is currently the Managing Partner at MKR.

Outside of the office, Dan is a family man who lives with his wife of over 35 years. Dan and his wife are avid travelers and are particularly fond of ocean cruising and spending time together. Dan himself is a cyclist and avid fisherman. He has even flown into remote locations of Canada for extended fishing trips.

As partner, Dan’s personal mission is to provide clients with the highest level of service on a timely basis at a reasonable cost. Still working today with many clients he acquired almost two decades ago, Dan says it’s about building that relationship and making the interaction more personable than just a business transaction.
