Raised in Northern Indiana, Dan Kittell graduated from Indiana University in 1988 with a B.S. in Accounting. He began his career as an accountant at a small firm in Chicago before joining McAllister Kittell Reed in November 1992 as a staff accountant. In those early years, Dan worked across general accounting, tax preparation, and payroll services. His dedication and leadership quickly earned him promotions—first to manager, then to partner in 2001. As of January 2021, Dan serves as the firm’s Managing Partner.
Outside the office, Dan is a devoted family man who has been married to his wife for more than 35 years. Together, they enjoy traveling, especially ocean cruises, and spending time outdoors. Dan is also an avid cyclist and fisherman, often seeking out remote destinations in Canada for extended fishing trips.
As Managing Partner, Dan’s mission is to deliver the highest level of service to clients—timely, professional, and personal. Many of the clients he began working with nearly two decades ago remain with him today, a testament to his belief that accounting is about building lasting relationships, not just completing transactions.
